iPortalMais invited for training in UPBS

The Chief Executive Officer of iPortalMais, Prof. Raúl Oliveira, was invited by the University of Porto Business School to lecture Document Management in graduate studies in Information Management and Marketing Intelligence. This School of Management's invitation represents an important recognition of the work the team of iPortalMais has made in the area of Document Management and gives a huge reputation to the company. Note that this is the first time that Prof. Raúl Oliveira, returns to the University's classrooms, after a gap of almost five years, after leaving college education to devote himself 100% to business.

It was on Friday, 30, and Saturday, 31, that Prof. Raúl Oliveira taught ten hours on Document Management and Workflow. The Chief Executive Officer of iPortalMais began the "class" by explaining the challenges that Document Management faces nowadays and which are the requirements and advantages of using this procedure.

Prof. Raúl Oliveira also spoke about the unified communication's importance, so the information produced in different formats merges in to a single channel (all the emails, faxes, phone calls, IM information can be automatically classified and related to each other). The concept of workflow and all the benefits of automating processes, by setting information, tasks, participants and rules were explained to the students.

iPortalMais introduced many innovations in Document Management, therefore the training given by Prof. Raúl Oliveira also had its practical component with the fundamental concepts of iPortalMais's Document Management System and Workflow, embodied in iPortalDoc potential. The concepts associated to this solution were mentioned, specially its scalability concerning to document's storage, backup and disaster recovery – in summary, all the subjects that are particularly relevant in this type of solutions.

The Chief Executive Officer of iPortalMais also explained one of the more beloved concepts developed by the company: the UCoIP, that also works in the iPortalDoc's context. The students were familiarized to the idea that everyone can have its communication unified page based on the email address, with tools like fax, Instant Messaging, Softphone, IP phone and mobile calls and fixed.
